"Area Contest Competition" 2025-Jan-30 at the Downtown Community Centre

Join us for an exciting meeting of Toastmasters Area 61 this week in a face-to-face setting in the the Downtown Community Centre from 7:00 pm to 8:15 pm.
Judges debriefing is planned for 7:05 pm in the Hallway outside the room.
We are holding two Area Contests:
- Evaluation Speech Contest:
- We bring in a Target Speaker from another Club in another Area whom the contestants are most likely to have never seen present before.
- He/she gives a 5-7 minute speech and then our Evaluation Contestants will be providing inspiring and helpful feedback in a 2-3 minute Evaluation.
- Contestants: Antonieta Soares, Modupe Okoh
- International Speech Contest:
- Each contestant will deliver a 5-7 minute speech to inspire and connect with their audience.
- Contestants: Sarath Pallipravan, Greg Kay

Winners of each contest advance to the next level, the Division W Contests on Sat, Mar 8th!

If you are a guest or visiting member from another Club, please call Greg Kay at 519-496-0999 (but please text first indicating who you are so Greg picks up when you call). He will provide you with directions to our event meeting room.
Accessible via bus or iON going to Kitchener City Hall stop on Duke near Young. For parking, please go further in to the next levels down (for School Board) and come into the Community Centre where reception will give you a pink parking pass to put on your dashboard.
